They make it all right...

For all of you that know me, these two kids mean the world to me!  When all is wrong in the world, kids always have this special way of making it all feel right.  Their innocence makes you smile and makes you wonder where it all goes as they grow up.  The real world takes over and the innocence gets thrown out the window, for most of them.  We have to enjoy these kids while we still can.  If we would only raise every kid right, the world will be a better place...ahhh to dream...

From Lancaster...to Philly...

2 markets, two totally different worlds.  The Reading Terminal Market in Philly is a whole different monster compared to the Central Market in Lancaster.  The only thing these two places have in common is, well, food.  The RTM is located in the heart of Downtown Philly, and it attracts people from all over the country and world.  It's been featured on the popular Man Vs. Food show on the Food Network, and it's HUGE.  Don't even think about going in their during lunch time, it may take you an hour to bob and weave throughout the heavy crowds and order your food.  That's if you even decide what the heck you want, as there are so many options to choose from.  Wether you want fresh produce, or a fat juicy roast pork sandwich with sharp and broccoli rob from Dinic's (the sandwich featured on Man Vs. Food) you can find it all here.  You can buy fresh seafood and meat then walk 5 feet down and order a classic Philly Cheesesteak, or sit down at one of the many eateries featuring all types of food.  If you don't mind large crowds go check this amazing place out and get some good food in your belly, and take some fresh produce while your out there...

Enjoy your night! Until next time...

See, the Amish are funny too...

You can find art everywhere...

Ok...so I'm 'that guy' right now sitting in Starbucks sippin' on my coffee (extra sugar of course) playing around on his laptop.  Although...no screenplays are being written over here, and I'm trying my hardest not to look like I'm doing something important.  Early morning commutes to work are usually spent sleeping and most likely snoring, you'll have to ask the other passengers if the later is true.  But today was a bit different, the people on the train talking in their 'outside' voices were not letting my tradition be what it is.   But that's ok.  Sometimes I wish I was able to stay up, so I could see what's going on out there in the short distance from home to Philly.

Arts beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that's the beauty of creation.  Some people look at graffiti and say that it is an garbage art form, but I beg to differ.  If it is done right, it can be just as nice to look at as a painting.  This graffiti adds character to an otherwise boring layout of bricks and gives early morning commuters something less boring to look at, and I enjoyed every minute of it.  Now don't get me wrong, there is such thing as bad graffiti.  Graffiti that spreads hate or violence, or graffiti that is sprayed from a can in hands of little talent, in my eyes, is not art.

Ok off to work...see you later folks and enjoy your Sundays...

I love Me Some Me...oh and Apple too...

This is a good website/blog to read if you are an Apple product nut like myself.  It's got a lot of good facts about upcoming products and updates to current products.  On a side not...damn you Verizon!!! Now everybody will have an iPhone, as they will no doubt become more accessible to the general public.

last year's snow storm...

Central Market...

In every town, there is that establishment that has survived decades and remains a mainstay to all those who reside in it.  Lancaster has that place in Central Market.  Everybody who calls Lancaster home has been to Central Market at one time in their lives, and if your my Mom, every Saturday morning is a tradition filled day full of great buys.  As a kid, I remember waking up early Saturday morning to take the trip downtown with my mom and 3 sisters.  I remember beef jerky, lunch meats and cheese from Weavers, sour candy, UTZ chips, fruits and veggies, and the only place where a hot dog and soda at 9 o'clock seems like a hot dog should never be eaten at any other time.  The funny thing is, all of the close friends of me and my sisters knew what Saturday brought to the Yost household...subs, chips and good treats!  Saturday morning Market trips are by far the biggest tradition in my family as I was growing up, and still is.  Although all of the kids have grown up and started their own lives, Central Market still brings us together, and the generations after us will no doubt learn about the tradition we've grown to love...
