a beautiful little girl...

An awesome sister and a pretty cool dude...ingredients to a recipe of a beautiful little girl.  Mix those together with a pinch of love and bake in the oven for 9 months and the final product is you Nora Maise.  An Irish family giving birth to an Irish child on March 17th, a date known to many as St. Patty's day.  A day normally used to celebrate ours/yours Irish heritage over a pint of Guinness and a shot of Jameson.  The toasts will be replaced to give thanks to my beautiful niece Nora and for her gracing us with her presence on this other wise hectic earth.  The beauty of birth is that no matter what is going on with your life and the lives around you, no matter how bad you think it is, a child can make you forget about any problems you think you might have.  Yea all she does is sleep and cry but in time that shall pass.  She'll start to crawl and speak gibberish, then she'll learn to walk and count to 10.  She'll start going to school and get good grades, maybe play a sport or too.  She'll graduate and go to college, and meet her future husband at an 80's party and get married years down the road.  She will grow up to be the best little girl she can be and even a greater woman. Then its time for her to have a beautiful little girl herself, and the cycle continues way past our years of life, and we will never get to see the final product and future generations, but we will know they will be alright as long as love is flowing through their veins as they do my families.  Nora you are truly a blessing to the Yost and Powers family, and I can speak for myself, that you make it all better for me.  I have the most beautiful family a guy could ask for, and for those of you who know me, they are the most important aspect of my life. LOVE YOUR FAMILY, FOR THEY WERE THERE AT THE BEGINNING, AND THEY WILL BE THERE AT THE END...

2 years ago, our family was blessed with an angel disguised as a little baby girl, and we called her Olivia Rose.  The last 2 years have been a roller coaster ride between an uncle and his niece.  One day she would love me the next she wouldn't, man that wasn't fun.  She has finally come around to love me after all this time, unless grandma is around, then nobody else in the world exists but her.  That's ok though, everybody loves grandma!  I cannot wait to watch you grow to become a beautiful young woman and become your own individual in this world.  I also can't wait to interview all of your future boyfriends in order to make sure they are good enough to date my niece, haha just kidding, but no really.  Watching you grow up for the past 2 years have been awesome, and I look forward to watching you grow to become an even bigger Diva than you already are...TIO ERIC LOVES YOU!

They make it all right...

For all of you that know me, these two kids mean the world to me!  When all is wrong in the world, kids always have this special way of making it all feel right.  Their innocence makes you smile and makes you wonder where it all goes as they grow up.  The real world takes over and the innocence gets thrown out the window, for most of them.  We have to enjoy these kids while we still can.  If we would only raise every kid right, the world will be a better place...ahhh to dream...

From Lancaster...to Philly...

2 markets, two totally different worlds.  The Reading Terminal Market in Philly is a whole different monster compared to the Central Market in Lancaster.  The only thing these two places have in common is, well, food.  The RTM is located in the heart of Downtown Philly, and it attracts people from all over the country and world.  It's been featured on the popular Man Vs. Food show on the Food Network, and it's HUGE.  Don't even think about going in their during lunch time, it may take you an hour to bob and weave throughout the heavy crowds and order your food.  That's if you even decide what the heck you want, as there are so many options to choose from.  Wether you want fresh produce, or a fat juicy roast pork sandwich with sharp and broccoli rob from Dinic's (the sandwich featured on Man Vs. Food) you can find it all here.  You can buy fresh seafood and meat then walk 5 feet down and order a classic Philly Cheesesteak, or sit down at one of the many eateries featuring all types of food.  If you don't mind large crowds go check this amazing place out and get some good food in your belly, and take some fresh produce while your out there...

Enjoy your night! Until next time...
