a love story...
A guy, a girl…say no more. You like me, I like you…say no more. What’s to say if all that needs to be said has already been spoken? You love me, I love you…say no more. Why tell me if I already know? What do you need to hear?
Don’t complicate it. We fight, we laugh, we want to quit, we try harder, we hate, we love until it hurts, we love until it fees like…well the way love is supposed to feel. Don’t say it unless you mean it, don’t tell me unless you feel it. Accept me for who I am, accept me for who I want to be and what I’m not. I’d do the same, why can’t you? Let’s have kids, lets raise them to be magnificent. Let’s cheat, let’s act like everything is alright…for the kids. Let’s make it work, for the kids...
Let’s grow old, and sleep in separate beds. Let’s drink everyday, cook me my meals…clean up after me. Love me like you did when you were 18 and I was 19, wait for me while I go to war…don’t love another man…wait for me. Let’s hold hands and walk side by side till the end…

mumford and sons concert...
This past Thursday I attended the Mumford and Sons concert in my new neck of the woods...Maryland. Why they came to this small town in MD, I have no idea, but I'll be the last one to complain. Before the concert even started, it was a memorable one.
As soon as we started walking to the venue, I start feeling raindrops on my shoulder, not good. But no worries, we are just steps away from the gates. Hold up though, no camera's with removable lenses are allowed says the idiots with light blue shirts on that say "Staff" on the back. My response is "are you serious?" as I look up at the dark gray clouds, only to be told "yes, you have to take it back to the car". Awesome, thanks guys! So I proceed to walk/run back to my car, I only say walk because I'm way too out of shape for this. It's safe to say I got soaked, head to toe. As history tells us, rain+concerts usually make for memorable moments, which it did. There were two opening acts, which I've never heard of before, so I decided to go to the bathroom before Mumford hits the stage. As soon as I turn the corner to the men's bathroom, I encounter a bunch of women in the line. No, this was not a unisex bathroom, but it sure was turned into one. Two lines, one for the men and the urinals, and one for the women and the stalls. Needless to say this was classic, you can't make this stuff up! People were even barefoot, and no that's not rain water your stepping in. Drunk guys don't have the best aim...I'm just saying.
Now onto the concert. I haven't been to many concerts, but I can tell you, this will by far be one of the best concerts I have or will ever see. I've never seen a band get so involved in their music and feed off of the crowd. We stood the whole time, well at least one of us did. I'm used to being on my feet all day, so nothing new to me. From beginning to end, Mumford and Sons kept us on our feet and graced us with some new music and played the hell out of the every instrument that was brought onto the stage. Every band member played at least 3 instruments each, if not more, that's true musicianship if you ask me! If you can't open your minds and respect that, then I feel bad for you...

Bottle cap coasters. These coasters are made from bottle caps found in Africa. Saw them in a shop down in downtown Lancaster and had to buy them, pretty dope buy to spice up a coffee table.

a beautiful little girl...
An awesome sister and a pretty cool dude...ingredients to a recipe of a beautiful little girl. Mix those together with a pinch of love and bake in the oven for 9 months and the final product is you Nora Maise. An Irish family giving birth to an Irish child on March 17th, a date known to many as St. Patty's day. A day normally used to celebrate ours/yours Irish heritage over a pint of Guinness and a shot of Jameson. The toasts will be replaced to give thanks to my beautiful niece Nora and for her gracing us with her presence on this other wise hectic earth. The beauty of birth is that no matter what is going on with your life and the lives around you, no matter how bad you think it is, a child can make you forget about any problems you think you might have. Yea all she does is sleep and cry but in time that shall pass. She'll start to crawl and speak gibberish, then she'll learn to walk and count to 10. She'll start going to school and get good grades, maybe play a sport or too. She'll graduate and go to college, and meet her future husband at an 80's party and get married years down the road. She will grow up to be the best little girl she can be and even a greater woman. Then its time for her to have a beautiful little girl herself, and the cycle continues way past our years of life, and we will never get to see the final product and future generations, but we will know they will be alright as long as love is flowing through their veins as they do my families. Nora you are truly a blessing to the Yost and Powers family, and I can speak for myself, that you make it all better for me. I have the most beautiful family a guy could ask for, and for those of you who know me, they are the most important aspect of my life. LOVE YOUR FAMILY, FOR THEY WERE THERE AT THE BEGINNING, AND THEY WILL BE THERE AT THE END...

2 years ago, our family was blessed with an angel disguised as a little baby girl, and we called her Olivia Rose. The last 2 years have been a roller coaster ride between an uncle and his niece. One day she would love me the next she wouldn't, man that wasn't fun. She has finally come around to love me after all this time, unless grandma is around, then nobody else in the world exists but her. That's ok though, everybody loves grandma! I cannot wait to watch you grow to become a beautiful young woman and become your own individual in this world. I also can't wait to interview all of your future boyfriends in order to make sure they are good enough to date my niece, haha just kidding, but no really. Watching you grow up for the past 2 years have been awesome, and I look forward to watching you grow to become an even bigger Diva than you already are...TIO ERIC LOVES YOU!

They make it all right...
For all of you that know me, these two kids mean the world to me! When all is wrong in the world, kids always have this special way of making it all feel right. Their innocence makes you smile and makes you wonder where it all goes as they grow up. The real world takes over and the innocence gets thrown out the window, for most of them. We have to enjoy these kids while we still can. If we would only raise every kid right, the world will be a better place...ahhh to dream...
From Lancaster...to Philly...
2 markets, two totally different worlds. The Reading Terminal Market in Philly is a whole different monster compared to the Central Market in Lancaster. The only thing these two places have in common is, well, food. The RTM is located in the heart of Downtown Philly, and it attracts people from all over the country and world. It's been featured on the popular Man Vs. Food show on the Food Network, and it's HUGE. Don't even think about going in their during lunch time, it may take you an hour to bob and weave throughout the heavy crowds and order your food. That's if you even decide what the heck you want, as there are so many options to choose from. Wether you want fresh produce, or a fat juicy roast pork sandwich with sharp and broccoli rob from Dinic's (the sandwich featured on Man Vs. Food) you can find it all here. You can buy fresh seafood and meat then walk 5 feet down and order a classic Philly Cheesesteak, or sit down at one of the many eateries featuring all types of food. If you don't mind large crowds go check this amazing place out and get some good food in your belly, and take some fresh produce while your out there...
Enjoy your night! Until next time...

You can find art everywhere...
Ok...so I'm 'that guy' right now sitting in Starbucks sippin' on my coffee (extra sugar of course) playing around on his laptop. Although...no screenplays are being written over here, and I'm trying my hardest not to look like I'm doing something important. Early morning commutes to work are usually spent sleeping and most likely snoring, you'll have to ask the other passengers if the later is true. But today was a bit different, the people on the train talking in their 'outside' voices were not letting my tradition be what it is. But that's ok. Sometimes I wish I was able to stay up, so I could see what's going on out there in the short distance from home to Philly.
Arts beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that's the beauty of creation. Some people look at graffiti and say that it is an garbage art form, but I beg to differ. If it is done right, it can be just as nice to look at as a painting. This graffiti adds character to an otherwise boring layout of bricks and gives early morning commuters something less boring to look at, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Now don't get me wrong, there is such thing as bad graffiti. Graffiti that spreads hate or violence, or graffiti that is sprayed from a can in hands of little talent, in my eyes, is not art.
Ok off to work...see you later folks and enjoy your Sundays...

On a side not...damn you Verizon!!! Now everybody will have an iPhone, as they will no doubt become more accessible to the general public.

Central Market...
In every town, there is that establishment that has survived decades and remains a mainstay to all those who reside in it. Lancaster has that place in Central Market. Everybody who calls Lancaster home has been to Central Market at one time in their lives, and if your my Mom, every Saturday morning is a tradition filled day full of great buys. As a kid, I remember waking up early Saturday morning to take the trip downtown with my mom and 3 sisters. I remember beef jerky, lunch meats and cheese from Weavers, sour candy, UTZ chips, fruits and veggies, and the only place where a hot dog and soda at 9 o'clock seems like a hot dog should never be eaten at any other time. The funny thing is, all of the close friends of me and my sisters knew what Saturday brought to the Yost household...subs, chips and good treats! Saturday morning Market trips are by far the biggest tradition in my family as I was growing up, and still is. Although all of the kids have grown up and started their own lives, Central Market still brings us together, and the generations after us will no doubt learn about the tradition we've grown to love...
